10 Hour - OSHA Construction Safety

Training. All workers employed at a major building site shall have successfully completed, within the previous five calendar years, a course that is at least ten-hours in length and approved by the United States Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in construction industry safety and health, or by the commissioner covering substantially the same material.

 

Course Description: This 10-hour Construction safety course was developed by the U.S. Department of Labor to provide construction workers, supervisors, and other personnel responsible for construction activities with an awareness of construction health and safety concerns in the construction industry. All attendees will become familiar with reading and using the OSHA 29CFR 1926 Construction Standards.

Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites needed to attend this course. Students must be able to verbally communicate with instructor. We offer English, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Hebrew, Russian and other translations.

Course objectives: The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Outreach Training Program for the Construction Industry teaches construction workers about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint as well as how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards.

Upon successful class completion, students will receive a certificate of class completion from RJZ Construction Safety, LLC. Students will receive their 10 hour OSHA card within 2 weeks. Cards will be sent via regular mail to the address provided in the registration form or picked up at the office if indicated by the student
